Every design for Vimmerby

In the middle of the Småland landscape, surrounded by forests, fields and winding gravel roads, lies Vimmerby – the main town of Vimmerby municipality in Kalmar County. It is a town where nature is never far away, and where the very air seems to belong with the stories born here.

For many, Vimmerby is above all Astrid Lindgren's district. Astrid Lindgren's Näs is here, and it is in this country that characters such as Nils Karlsson-Pyssling, Karlsson on the Roof and the children of Bullerbyn have their roots. The Little Little Town and Astrid Lindgren's grave are reminders of how deeply the place and the writing are braided together – a landscape that went straight into the imagination of generations.
