About Tylösand
Four kilometres of sandy beach
Hotel Tylösand
The golf courses
Few places in Halland stir the same summer feeling as Tylösand. The resort lies at Tyludden a little west of Halmstad, and it is of course the four-kilometre sandy beach that has made the name known across the whole country. Here your feet meet fine-grained sand and your gaze wanders out over Laholmsbukten and the Kattegat.
There is more to discover around it. Two 18-hole courses attract golfers, while Hotel Tylösand – in the hands of Per Gessle and Björn Nordstrand – has become something of a landmark in itself. Just beyond, the Tylön nature reserve spreads out, and anyone seeking peaceful countryside will also find the Eketånga nature reserve nearby.
For many, Tylösand is tied to memories: sun-warmed days on the beach, the scent of seaweed and pines, whole summers that somehow never ended. To wear this map is to carry a place that has shaped many childhoods and long holidays along the Halland coast.
