About Torshälla
The Rekarne district's oldest town
Nyby works
The Ebeling Museum
Just north of Eskilstuna, where only a few hundred metres separate the town from the city's southern edges, lies Torshälla. It is the oldest town in the Rekarne district, an old trading and craft town with town privileges since the Middle Ages and a steel industry at Nyby works that in time grew together with the place.
All around, the landscape spreads out with its heights and water-near places. Husberget and Ärnaberget rise in the district, the Nyby hill fort bears witness to older times, and at the Solvik bathing place you meet the water on a warm day. In the town you find the Ebeling museum and the Old manor.
Wearing this map is to carry a piece of the home district with you - the blocks, the heights and the riverside route that make Torshälla the very place you feel at home in.
