Every design for Tomelilla

Hasse & Tage put Tomelilla on the map with their much-loved humour, and to this day a whole museum devoted to the duo draws visitors to the town. Skåne daily life and cultural heritage meet here in a way few smaller places can match, and it shows in the streets as much as in the history books.

Set in the rolling Österlen landscape, Tomelilla is the main town of its municipality and a natural junction for the district. Around the town are traces of older times – Örup castle bears witness to the age of the estates, while Tryde carries old ecclesiastical roots just outside the town. If you want a break from the present you can step straight into the fifties at the Nostalgia café the 50's.

It is exactly that mixture of seriousness and a twinkle in the eye that makes Tomelilla hard to forget. A museum built around laughter says something about a place that takes its own character seriously without becoming solemn. A shirt with the map of Tomelilla therefore becomes more than geography – it ties into an inheritance where the humour and the landscape belong together.
