Station town

Kyrkefalla church

Some way east of Skövde, in the middle of the Västergötland landscape, lies Tibro. The river Tidan flows calmly through the community, and it is in fact the waterway that once gave the town its name. Tibro grew up around the railway, and the feeling of a station town remains to this day – something clearly noticeable in Järnvägsparken, one of the greener oases in the town.

Everyday life moves gladly through the town park and past Tibro Museum, while Kyrkefalla church keeps watch on the southern edge of the community. It is no noisy city but rather a place where you greet each other in the street, recognise faces in the shop and take things a little more slowly. That mood is hard to put into words but easy to miss if you move away.

You who wear this map already know what the bend of the Tidan looks like and where the parks are. Perhaps you grew up here, perhaps you found your way later in life – either way we hope it reminds you of the feeling of home every time you pull it over your head.
