Every design for Surahammar

By the water of the Kolbäcksån, iron and steel have shaped Surahammar for centuries. Surahammars Bruks AB, the town's largest private employer, has roots going back to the 1500s – and that history sits in the walls, in the streets and in the very name of the place that is the main town of Surahammar municipality in Västmanland.

There is something about the silence at Långsjön early in the morning, or the sun glittering over Östersjön and Västersjön, that stirs memories in everyone who grew up here. Perhaps it was fishing trips at Magsjön, perhaps walks through Kohagen. Such things stay and come along, however far away life later takes you.

You who recognise every lake and bend on this map already know what Surahammar means. Let the shirt be a small reminder of the works town you come from, of the water and the forest that are always still there, and of the fact that some places never quite let go.
