Every design for Oxie

The Kungshögar mounds rise as a reminder that Oxie was inhabited long before it became a district of Malmö municipality. Here, barely ten kilometres south-east of central Malmö, lies an old parish that in time grew together with the city into a suburb with a calm of its own. The E65 runs past and the railway towards Ystad crosses the place, but much of the charm is found some way from the roads.

The green sets the tone. Svängedammen and Törringelund draw out anyone who wants to walk, and the parks follow one after another – Oxievångsparken, Gårdsparken and Kristinebergsparken give the district its airy feeling. That Malmö's city buses run all the way out here means the city never feels far away.
