About Öregrund
Archipelago town
A former town
Northern Roslagen
Öregrund is one of Sweden's smallest former towns, a tiny archipelago harbour in northern Roslagen where daily life turns around the water. The houses stand close together around a naturally deep bay on Öregrundsgrepen, out on the Sunnanö peninsula, and the mood is the calm kind only small coastal towns have: boats creaking against the jetty, morning walks and late summers that never quite want to end.
It is the terrain that makes Öregrund so distinctive – broken, rocky and abrupt, with archipelago rock meeting densely built blocks. Take a swim at the Tallpark bathing place, find the shade among the pines in Tallparken or stroll through Brunnsparken. Out in the water lie Yttre Hummelfjärden and Västra Banken, names every sailor from here recognises.
You who have wandered the lanes down to the harbour or swum on that late August evening know exactly how Öregrund feels. Perhaps you grew up here, perhaps you come back every summer. This shirt lets you keep the whole peninsula with you – the bays, the parks and the narrow rock streets – wherever you go through the year. A small greeting from Roslagen's loveliest corner, close to the heart.
