Every design for Malung

The Västerdalälven makes its way through Malung and ties the town to the forests and waters around it. As the main town of Malung-Sälen municipality, this is a place where the river's calm movement marks everyday life as much as the mood of the community itself.

Every summer Malung changes shape. The Swedish dance band week, the largest of its kind in the country, fills the town with music and people who have travelled far to dance. All around lie the waters locals know by heart – Bullsjön, Guckutjärnen and the Mosjöarna – and Grönlandsparken is among the places you return to.

It is perhaps at Magnilviken on a summer evening that Malung feels most itself. A shirt with the map of the town becomes a way of taking exactly those waters and paths with you wherever you end up.
