About Kinna
Main town of Mark municipality
The Viska valley
The Sjuhärad district
By Kinnasten and Prueredsberget lies Kinna, the main town of Mark municipality and one of the places that gave the Sjuhärad district its textile character. Here in the Viska valley the original village has grown together with its neighbours Skene and Örby into one continuous town, south-west of Borås.
Around the houses rise heights and viewpoints with names that ring of the district - Blåbärskullen, Fridenshöjd, Röse and Åsen. It is a landscape where the open sweep of the valley meets forested hills, and where nearly half the whole municipality's inhabitants live gathered together.
A map of Kinna across the chest becomes a greeting to the hills of the Viska valley and to everyone who knows where Kinnasten is. Wear it when the conversation turns to where in Mark municipality you actually come from.
