For many, Katrineholm begins with a train stop and a familiar platform. The town grew up as a station community on the Western Main Line and quickly became a railway junction in Södermanland – a place where the tracks meet and people come and go. That feeling of always being on the way home stays with you.

Around the town the water is close. Näsnaren and Lilla Näsnaren, Backasjön and Djulösjön frame everyday life, and at Duveholmssjön you find the Duveholm bathing place, where summer evenings feel longer than elsewhere.
