Every design for Hörby

In the middle of Skåne, along the E22 between Lund and Kristianstad, lies Hörby. Roads and nature meet here in a way that makes the town the municipality's obvious centre. The slogan "On the right wavelength" harks back to the Hörby shortwave station, and the place was once a significant railway junction in the middle of Skåne – until the tracks were lifted and fell silent.

It is the surrounding landscape that stays in the memory. Östra Ringsjön appears not far off, and anyone who has set out knows how it feels to walk in the Östra Fulltofta nature reserve or roam across the Hörby common early in the morning. Lågedammarna and Råby Hällor are among the places you return to, while Lasarettsparken and Ringsjöparken bring greenery into the middle of town.

It is in that combination that Hörby becomes itself: a church village with long roots that rests at the same time close to lake, rock and forest. A shirt with the map of Hörby catches exactly this – the street pattern winding between the parks, with the water of Ringsjön not far beyond the frame.
