Every design for Henån

The river running through the community gave Henån its name, and it is here on Orust – Sweden's fourth largest island – that the place has grown to become the island's largest community and the main town of Orust municipality. All around, the archipelago spreads out with inlets such as Ängs kile and Rånäse kile, and behind the headlands the water of Kindslätt lies still.

What makes Henån special is its double nature: a calm place through the winter half of the year that wakes to life when summer comes and the municipality multiplies its population. Trade flourishes, the visitors pour in, and anyone living here knows the rhythm between the stillness and the life of the seasons.
