Every design for Falsterbo

At the very tip of the Falsterbo peninsula, where Skåne narrows towards the sea, Falsterbo lies surrounded by water on almost every side. It was once a town in its own right; today it belongs with its neighbour Skanör in the built-up area of Skanör med Falsterbo in Vellinge municipality. The setting is unmistakable: sand, light and sea in every direction.

For many, the name brings back memories of summer days and long walks along the water. At Badaren, beach and bathing meet, and a little inland Falsterbohus castle tells of the town's older history. At the Falsterbo museum and in Andreas Lundbergagården there are traces of the life lived here through the centuries, gathered on a comparatively small piece of land.

It is precisely that combination of sea horizon and old-town feel that makes Falsterbo hard to mistake for anywhere else. On the map shirt the shape of the peninsula stands out clearly – the protruding tip with Falsterbohus and the museum drawn in, right where the land ends and the Baltic begins.
