Every design for Enköping

Among the plantings and greenery lies Enköping, the town nicknamed Parkernas stad, the town of parks, for its 24 parks and green spaces. The Enköpingsån runs through a place with a very long history, one that has played its part in Sweden's making since the Middle Ages. The slogan "Sweden's nearest town" put its finger on the position by the E18 and the Mälarbanan, a stone's throw from the northern shore of Mälaren.

For anyone who grew up here the name stirs memories of summers in the parks and walks past familiar corners such as Hippo, Spelande and Johanna. Enköping has long been a garrison town, and to this day the Command and Control Regiment and the Army Staff keep the place alive.

Seeing the familiar streets and the river's bends drawn on a shirt is like taking a piece of Enköping with you – a way of feeling at home wherever you are.
