In the middle of Småland, as the main town of Eksjö municipality, lies one of the country's most beautifully preserved wooden towns. Together with Hjo and Nora, Eksjö forms the Three Wooden Towns network, a collaboration that holds up the wooden buildings as a heritage worth caring for and visiting.

Around Lilla Torg the old houses crowd close together, and the walk past Eksjö Museum, the Aschanska farm and the Fornminnesgården gives a sense that time has stopped.
