Every design for Boo

On the western part of Värmdölandet, just east of Skurusundet, lies Boo. These days the district is part of Nacka municipality and has grown together with the Stockholm urban area, but the boundary between city and archipelago is still clear in the air here.

It is a place where everyday life moves between jetties, forest paths and old farm surroundings. At Tollare gård and the Boo gård burial ground the history rests, while the Leksaksmuseet draws the curious and the Estonia memorial stone carries a heavier memory. There is art to come across in the open too, such as Silverladyn and Skriet, and an atmosphere that shifts with the seasons and the tide.

Many recognise the calm rhythm: mornings by the water, evenings with a view across the sound, a harbour where the boats bob.
