About Bollnäs
The bandy club
The trotting track
Its setting on the Ljusnan
By the waters of the Ljusnan, where the Northern Main Line crosses national roads 50 and 83, Bollnäs spreads out as the second largest town in Hälsingland. Bandy and the trotting track have shaped Saturdays here for generations, and Brotorget gathers people as it always has.
It is the atmosphere that stays: a lap around Hänsjön, the view from Säverstaberget and the stillness at Björktjäratjärnen. The Långnäs park area where summer evenings linger, and names like Snoddas and Anna-Karin Kammerling who put the town on the map far beyond Hälsingland.
Recognising the lakes, the square and the hills in the lines of the print is to remember where you learned to cycle, where you caught your first bus and where you always came home to. A map t-shirt of Bollnäs becomes a way of carrying the place where much of it began.
