Every design for Ängelholm

For many, Ängelholm begins with the sound of a clay cuckoo or the smell of sea air from Skälderviken. Here, in north-western Skåne, the Rönne å winds through the town before making for the sea, and much of life turns around that water. Ängelholm is the main town of its municipality, but it is marked more by calm and character than by any city pulse.

The town has a couple of thoroughly distinctive emblems. The clay cuckoos are among the best known, and few places can boast a UFO monument of their own — a memento of one of the country's most talked-about space stories. By the river you also meet the artworks Rörelse och vind and the sculpture Mor, small fixed points that locals recognise at once.

Finding your block, your stretch of the river or the road down towards Skälderviken on a map often stirs something warm. It is the feeling of belonging in this particular place — wherever you happen to be when you put the shirt on.
