Every design for Kokkedal

Kokkedal lies on the coast of North Zealand between Nivå and Hørsholm, at the northern edge of Hørsholm's urban area, and it is the seat of Fredensborg Municipality, as it was of Karlebo Municipality before the municipal reform.

Its position makes for an easy everyday. The Kystbanen runs north to Helsingør and south to Copenhagen, with trains continuing as far as Roskilde, Køge and Næstved. On the shore, Nivå Bugt Strandenge is a nature reserve facing the Øresund, and nearby Nivågård is home to the Nivaagaards Malerisamling art collection and the old brickworks kiln of Nivaagaard Teglværks Ringovn, both museums now. Kokkedal Slot Copenhagen, today a hotel, gives the town its grandest address. It is a mixed community too, where families with backgrounds in Turkey and the Arab world live alongside Danes whose families have been here for generations, and the cyclist Michael Mørkøv was born here.
